Palma utilizes four “Expected School-wide Learning Results” as a guide for what
is expected of the young men who choose to become Palma Chieftains.
Details of
realizing these ESLRs will often be varied upon the age, class, maturity, and growth
of a particular group of students, however by senior graduation each young man will
know, understand, and strive to embody the following characteristics:
- A Palma Graduate is a man who is Spiritual and Moral. He will live as an individual
with a strong foundation in Christian values and beliefs.
- A Palma Graduate is a man who is Intellectual. He will demonstrate an appreciation
for learning. He will recognize an ever-changing world by thinking critically and
acting independently, creatively, and collaboratively.
- A Palma Graduate is a man who is Active. He will develop the knowledge to make
healthful choices. He will maximize skills for a lifelong enjoyment of physical
activity. He will master sportsmanship, the graceful acceptance of failure, and the
humble celebration of victory.
- A Palma Graduate is a man who is active in his community. He will use his
individual gifts to interact with others effectively. He will communicate in a
manner that reflects the Christian values of respect, compassion, and service.
