Palma School is situated on twelve acres in the heart of the Salinas Valley, just minutes away from Oldtown Salinas.
Palma’s campus, which houses both a junior high and high school, accommodates over 500 students, and is constantly changing and adapting to ensure that each student is provided with the best possible tools and spaces in which to succeed in his academics and prepare for college.
New additions to the campus in the last five years include two brand new, state of the art biology labs, as well as renovations to current science facilities. Palma now has the ability to teach advanced computer programming and digital art courses with the installment of a new computer lab, which is equipped with the latest technology and software. Palma’s growing music program which now includes a marching band and a jazz ensemble, have new rehearsal facilities housed in the newest additions to campus. These rooms also serve as classrooms for guitar and piano lessons. Palma’s multi-purpose room has become a center of school life and a gathering place that easily accommodates the entire student body and then some. This room is outfitted with a state-of-the-art audio-visual system, and since its completion, has hosted everything from receptions to presentations, to small group meetings.
Palma’s athletic facilities are also constantly being renovated and improved upon. Palma now has a completely redesigned track and field, which boasts an 8-lane all weather track and an artificial turf field. Practice rooms for wrestling have alsobeen added, and are an important addition to the other athletic facilities on campus, which include a baseball field, weight room, locker rooms, and gymnasium.
