This year marks the third anniversary of the induction of
our newest annual giving campaign, the Palma Fund.
This fund is the financial
cornerstone to the School's continuing growth and excellence, and it is our
goal this year to raise $315,000 in donations. What makes the Palma Fund unique is its directness. Through a
gift to the Palma Fund, you are taking on the everyday challenges of running a
school. From tuition gaps to scholarships, from broken light bulbs to classroom
equipment, your gift has an immediate and significant impact for the school,
but more importantly for each individual student. The changes we are able to
make through money donated to the Palma Fund are immediately realized in the
following areas of campus life.
Financial Aid
In keeping with Edmund Rice’s mission to provide quality
education regardless of finances, our financial assistance program recognizes
that diversity enriches the learning experience for all students. Providing
financial aid ensures that Palma’s learning environment continues to be both
diverse and inclusive.
Teaching and Learning
We recognize that learning is a life-long endeavor by
providing professional development opportunities to our faculty and
enhancements to our curriculum.
Technology
Keeping our students connected to a rapidly changing world
is paramount to preparing them for institutions of higher learning. Palma’s campus is constantly undergoing
hardware and software updates to accommodate new technologies.
Arts
Gifts to the Palma Fund provide the resources needed to
enrich music and art programs on campus. Students now have the opportunity to
work with music specialists in percussion and winds, to play new drums in the
marching band, and to explore their creativity in a comfortable environment on
new studio art tables.
Palma’s Greatest Need
Contributions to our greatest need allow us to respond to unforeseen
challenges within the school year and help us to promote a learning environment
that is strong in traditional values, rich in diversity and strong in its
academic foundation.
