Mock Trial Set to Begin Wednesday

Mock Trial will begin at the Monterey Courthouse on Wednesday, January 30 at 5:30pm. In “People v. Klein” a false text-a-tip summoned armed police to the apartment of Sawyer Smith causing Mr. Smith to be seriously injured. This year’s Mock Trial team includes Neil Beach ’21, Christopher Campo ’19, Isaiah Corpus ’20, Richard Cruz ’21, Nathan Dodd ’19, Joe Gastello ’20, Kolby Gooder ’20, Gino Grier ’21, Sam Lavorato ’19, Erin Limbo ’19, Thomas Lundy ’20, Nevin Manimaran ’21, Dominic Nale ’20, Gabe Nale ’20, David Nino ’20, Joseph Nino ’19, Andy Ottone ’22, Marco Pezzini ’19, Wade Rianda ’20, Ryan Roggio ’22, Steven Said ’20, Jacob Serrano ’20, Jonah Shannon ’21, Nicholas Slater ’20, and Alex Thomas ’19. Attorney coaches this year are Matt L’Heureux, Lana Nassoura and Matt Ottone along with Rob Viarengo as teacher-coach. During the competition, students from six high schools will argue before real judges switching between defense and prosecution each round. Last year Palma placed second just behind returning state champions Carmel High School. You are encouraged to attend.
