Matt Saldana '19 is the Champion

In a nail-biting turn of events, and with a one-point lead, Matt Saldana ’19 hung onto his NorCal league championship title. He had suffered a huge letdown at Six Sigma, just two weeks prior, with a rear-tire blowout. Matt returned to Six Sigma for the final race of the season and was determined to take on the course with a strong will to win — and he flew through the 20-plus mile race. The new course challenged riders' technical skills, and coupled with the heat and dust, proved to be one of the season's most rigorous venues. Matt finished a strong 4th place to help him retain the overall lead. We are very proud of our Chieftain as Matt wraps up his senior year as Palma's Mountain Bike League Champion.  We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Salinas High School Mountain Bike Team for inviting us to train together this season.
