Chieftain Swimmers Make Waves at the MBL Swimming and Diving Championships

Sam Given ’17 was a two-time winner at the Monterey Bay League Swimming and Diving Championships held at Hartnell College on April 29th. He placed first in both the 50 free (22.10) and 100 breast stroke (1:00.82). Nick Sullivan ’18 won the 100 free (48.92).

The relay team of Mateo Trujillo ’20, Sam Given ’17, Pedro Siguenza ’19 and Nick Sullivan ’18 won the 4x100 free relay (3:22.37) and the 4x50 medley relay (1:44.84).

Nick Sullivan ’18 placed second in 200 free (1:47.31). Mateo Trujillo ’20 swam to a second place finish in the 100 backstroke (1:00.34) and placed third in the 100 butterfly (57.16). Pedro Siguenza ’19 placed second in the 200 individual medley (2:14.47).
