Palma Participates at Steinbeck Festival

On Sunday, May 7th, Mr. Micheletti, Omar Garcia ’17, Oliver Mirassou ’17, Jacob Fajnor ’17, and Mrs. Mirassou made a presentation about the Palma/CDCR Soledad partnership at the National Steinbeck Center. The talk included readings from Lifers in response to student-inmate discussions of The Grapes of Wrath, The Pearl, and Of Mice and Men. In the Fall of the 2017, students will return for shared discussions of East of Eden. Anyone interested in participating in this powerful and unique advocacy through literacy should contact Mr. Jim Micheletti at or Ms. Mia Mirassou at
