Palma Places First at Cross Country Center Meet I

As expected, Sam Lavorato ’19 was off and running from the start, opening a large gap from which he never looked back. By the time he reached the finish line, he was all alone with nearly a minute separating his 16:12 time from second place. The Chieftains cruised to a 17-point lead to win the first Center Meet. Octavio Rubio ’18 came in fourth with a time of 17:13 edging out fellow Chieftain Tommy Padilla ’19 (17:19) who has been nursing an injury all summer.
