Carrizosa ’15 signs with the Cleveland Browns

Congratulations to Michael Carrizosa ’15 who signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted rookie free agent this weekend. All 32 NFL teams were represented during San Jose State’s Pro Day and Michael’s punting talent was on display during the NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl in Pasadena in January. Despite not being picked up during the NFL draft, he received several calls from teams confirming his contact information; a “good sign” said his agent. He got the call from Cleveland. Carrizosa set all-time punting records at San Jose State. In addition to punting and being the holder for field goals, he is also adept at kick-offs and field goals. Michael was a punter and field goal kicker for the Chieftains and Doug Saucedo has been his kicking coach ever since.
