Visit Us

Our goal is to provide you with a sense of what distinguishes Palma as one of the leading college-preparatory schools in the area by familiarizing you with everyday life on campus, both in and out of the classroom. Please consider taking advantage of one, or all of the opportunities to visit our campus. We look forward to welcoming you here!

Shadow Days

The best way to know that Palma is right for you is to see it for yourself. Palma encourages all interested students to visit our school and become a “Chieftain For A Day.” Your family will have the opportunity to tour the school. Once parent(s) depart, you will visit with the Palma student body and faculty and engage in classroom activities with your student host.

Typical Schedule:
8:00 AM      Arrive at the front entrance of the school. Visitor parking is available in front of the main office. Check in at the main office. Admissions Office will be on hand to assist with check in.
8:10 AM      You will be paired up with a current Palma student whom you have selected, or you will be introduced to an ambassador who has similar interests, to accompany you on a tour of the campus.
8:15 AM      Students will go to class. Parent(s) are able to tour the campus with the Admissions Director or a member of the administration.
11:40 PM     Junior high school shadow students will conclude their shadow day experience. You will have visited three classes and had lunch while shadowing. Parents will be able to pick you up in the Admissions Office at this time.
12:30 PM      High school shadow students will conclude their shadow day experience. You will have visited four classes and had lunch while shadowing. Parents will be able to pick you up in the Admissions Office at this time.

Important notes:
  • A complimentary lunch will be provided by Palma in the cafeteria.
  • We encourage you to shadow with a friend or ambassador in the grade for which you are applying in order to see what that grade will be like.
  • Palma instructors appreciate and welcome shadow students. It is normal to be nervous, but shadow students enjoy their time at Palma School.
Palma School has a dress code. We would recommend visiting students wear slacks or shorts and a polo or button shirt with a collar.

Open House

Open house is a great way for you to get acquainted with our campus, our faculty, and some of our students. Open House is an in-depth look into our curriculum, athletics, and the extra curricular activities offered to our students. After your student-led personal tour, members of the faculty and administration will be on hand to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
    • The open house provides a student-led personal tour and opportunity to meet faculty and staff.
