A Rabbi in the House

Seniors in World Religions/Theology 12 classes attended a lecture on campus given by Rabbi David Holtzberg. Rabbi David, who practices in the Hasidic tradition, spoke of Judaism and what it means for him to practice his faith. He shared Biblical stories of the history of Judaism along with explaining various customs and traditions before opening the room to questions. Born in Israel and educated in New York, Rabbi David is the director the Chabad of Monterey, which conducts hospital and prison visitations, holiday activities, Jewish festivals and counseling. Many thanks to Rabbi David for sharing with Chieftains today.
