Our campus, which houses both a junior high and high school, accommodates more than 500 students and is continually being transformed to ensure that each student is provided with the best possible tools and spaces in which to succeed in his academics and preparation for college.

As you enter campus through the front courtyard, the main office is on your right and the admissions office and guidance offices are on your left. There are four main wings of classrooms, two on either side of the Steve Clayton Memorial Gym. There are also indoor student locker areas located on either side of the entrance courtyard.

Brother Dunne Hall (BDH) houses two state-of-the-art biology labs to complement renovated science classrooms. A music center provides rehearsal space for our award-winning music program, a recording studio and rooms for guitar and piano lessons. The 586-seat capacity multi-purpose room, wrestling practice room and administrative offices round out the facility.

Advanced computer programming and digital art courses are taught in the computer lab (CLab) which is maintained with up-to-date hardware and software.

The Blessed Edmund Rice Chapel is a dedicated on-campus worship space that offers Mass every morning before school and Mass during the school day on holy days. Being rooted in Catholic tradition, every student, regardless of his level or origin of faith, is welcomed and accepted. The Chapel is a sanctuary for reflection and inspiration — a place of solemnity to contemplate life and one’s place in the world.

The cafeteria provides healthy hot meal choices for breakfast and lunch that growing boys need to fuel their day. In addition to a full kitchen, the TV-lined eating area includes space for recreation equipped with ping-pong and foosball tables. The mild Salinas weather allows nearly year-round use of the outdoor patio seating.

The Cislini Study Center (CSC) provides a quiet space for students to gather to work on homework or other assignments and to socialize. The Center includes individual study pods for privacy and a room for groups to collaborate on projects.

Our athletic facilities accommodate most of the sports offered at Palma School. We boast a recently renovated baseball field, a new all-weather rubberized quarter-mile track and artificial turf field (replaced in 2021) which is used for football, lacrosse and soccer practice and competitions. The Steve Clayton Memorial Gym is packed with tradition, from the accolade-lined walls to the trophy cases that display awards from decades of championships. The gym is used for basketball, volleyball, wrestling and a variety of extracurricular activities including junior high graduation. Athletic venues also include the dedicated wrestling practice room and weight-lifting facility.
